Energy Efficient New Homes

ENERGY EFFICIENT NEW HOMES ARE HELPING TO PRESERVE OUR PRECIOUS NATURAL RESOURCES

Environmental experts are warning that we need to do more to conserve the earth's precious natural resources. Even though we live in a country with more than its fair share of rainfall we still get warnings of water supply shortages. That, coupled with increases in energy prices, should be bringing the consequences of scarcer resources home to all householders.

There is no doubt that the average household energy bill will continue to rise as a result of increases in gas and electricity supply charges.

If you owned a new home you could take comfort in the fact that your increased costs are being kept to a minimum.

All homes which are for sale now have to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) which provides information on how energy efficienct the property is and what measures can be taken to improve its rating.

New homes can be between two to four times more energy efficient than original Victorian or Edwardian homes.
